Second, we always want to make sure to remind clients that if they’re in an HOA neighborhood or their neighborhood has other rules and restrictions, it’s a good idea to get approval before starting your project.
Prepping the house for your exterior painting service
There are three things you can do to make the process smooth for everyone:
- Remove all plants from the house. If you have any pots standing up against the house, move those to a safe space where they can still get all the sun they need. You can trust a painter to paint well. You can’t trust them to find good light for your plants!
- Clear any landscaping or decorations. Similar to plants, if you have any decorations or moveable landscaping, it’s advisable to move those things as well. This will help the process to move more quickly, as the painters can get their supplies in and out without disturbing your items.
- Take a lap around the house. You’ll want to make sure you keep an eye out for wood rot. Some rot is more obvious, but if you see something you’re not really sure about, just make a note and let us know. We’ll take the right steps to ensure a happy, healthy exterior before painting.
